Passengers can take a taxi from the taxi rank in front of terminal main building or you can call them by phone, there are taxis available 24 hours day and night.
Taxis by the government are easily identified with the colors black and green or white-beige. No other vehicles in Portugal are allowed to have this colour combinations.
Taxi it’s a good way to get to the airport quickly.
The price for a drive to Faro is about 10-15€. Another option is to search through internet private companies that offer this service.
There’s no railway connection between Faro airport and Faro city. The nearest one is located 6 km far away, in the city center of Faro. During next years is planned to establish connexion between the airport and Faro. The closest railway to Faro airport is the Algarve rail line, the southern in the country.
Circuit 16 bus (known as the pink lane) is the only which provides bus service from Faro Airport and connects the Airport with the city center of Faro (beach, Ilha de Faro). It stops just in front of the terminal. Once in Faro, you can take other coach lines to go to other villages of Algarve.
To take the bus in the airport, follow the signs outside the terminal, in front of the taxi rank.
To go and come from Faro airport takes 20 minutes.
There are several coaches a day, the bus runs from 5.20am until 00.10am approximately. To get all the timetable check in the airport.
